At 730 meters above sea level I run an organic farm with dairy farming in Feusisberg. Even as a child I enjoyed nature and animals, which is why I completed my agricultural training directly after school. At the moment I have about 20 brown cows and some calves in my barn.
In 2017 I decided to switch the Miltenhof to organic production. The reason: I am convinced that organic milk makes more sense in mountain areas than the production of industrial milk. In order to be able to sell the milk as organic milk, a conversion period of two years is required. In addition, in recent years I have only planted easy-care apple and pear trees that require practically no spray. These apples are mainly used to produce sweet juice. I see the future of Swiss agriculture in a steady increase in organic farming.
