Rüttimann André + Patrick, Hohenrain LU

Am Alpennordrand im verhältnismässig milden Klima der Mittellandseen steht der Hof der Familie Rüttimann. Die Gemeinde Hohenrain befindet sich im Kanton Luzern auf 609 Meter über Meer mit 1’000 mm Niederschlag pro Jahr. Es ist somit ein prädestiniertes Futterbaugebiet für die Rindviehhaltung. Unser Hof Grüt ist mittlerweile in der dritten Generation im Familienbesitz.

Im Jahr 2010 übernahmen Patrick und André Rüttimann den Betrieb von ihren Eltern Josef und Lydia. Sie leben von der Milchproduktion (Industriemilch) und der Viehzucht (Ruegruet Holsteins).

Der Betrieb umfasst rund 25 ha landwirtschaftliche Nutzfläche und bietet ein Zuhause für rund 120 Tiere. Im Jahr 2014 wurde der bestehende Laufstall durch einen Neubau erweitert, der Platz für 60 Tiere bietet. Im bestehenden Stall halten wir Aufzuchtrinder sowie männliche Kälber, welche selbst mit Vollmilch bis zu einem Lebendgewicht von 240 kg ausgemästet werden.

Die Milch verkaufen wir zum grössten Teil über die Zentralschweizer Milchproduzenten ZMP (Industriemilch). Seit 2020 setzen wir zudem einen Teil über die Milchgenossenschaft Faireswiss ab.«Die faire Milch» ist ein Projekt, bei welchem sich die Konsumenten bereit erklären, 0.30 Franken pro Liter Milch mehr zu bezahlen. Dieser Mehrertrag kommt uns Produzenten  zugute und deckt die Produktionskosten.

La ferme de la famille Rüttimann se trouve à la limite nord des Alpes, dans le climat relativement doux des lacs du Plateau. La commune de Hohenrain se trouve dans le canton de Lucerne, à 609 mètres d’altitude, avec 1’000 mm de précipitations par an. C’est donc une région prédestinée à la production de fourrage pour l’élevage bovin. Notre ferme Grüt est désormais une propriété familiale depuis trois générations.En 2010, Patrick et André Rüttimann ont repris l’exploitation de leurs parents Josef et Lydia. Ils vivent de la production laitière (lait industriel) et de l’élevage (Ruegruet Holsteins).

L’exploitation comprend environ 25 hectares de surface agricole utile et abrite quelque 120 animaux. En 2014, l’étable à stabulation libre existante a été agrandie par une nouvelle construction qui peut accueillir 60 animaux. Dans l’étable existante, nous élevons des bovins d’élevage ainsi que des veaux mâles, que nous engraissons nous-mêmes au lait entier jusqu’à un poids vif de 240 kg.

Nous vendons la plus grande partie de notre lait par l’intermédiaire de Zentralschweizer Milchproduzenten ZMP (lait industriel). Depuis 2020, nous en vendons également une partie par le biais de la coopérative laitière Faireswiss, un projet dans le cadre duquel les consommateurs acceptent de payer 0,30 franc de plus par litre de lait. Ce surplus de recettes nous revient, à nous producteurs, et couvre les coûts de production.

Il comune di Hohenrain si trova nel cantone di Lucerna a 609 metri sul livello del mare con 1.000 mm di precipitazioni all’anno. Si tratta quindi di una zona predestinata alla coltivazione di foraggio per l’allevamento del bestiame. La nostra fattoria Grüt è ora nella sua terza generazione di proprietà della famiglia.Nel 2010, Patrick e André Rüttimann hanno rilevato la fattoria dai loro genitori Josef e Lydia. Vivono della produzione di latte (latte industriale) e dell’allevamento di bestiame (Ruegruet Holsteins).

La fattoria copre circa 25 ettari di terreno agricolo e ospita circa 120 animali. Nel 2014, l’esistente alloggiamento sciolto è stato ampliato da un nuovo edificio, che offre spazio per 60 animali. Nella stalla esistente si allevano bovini e vitelli maschi, che vengono ingrassati con latte intero fino a un peso vivo di 240 kg.

Vendiamo la maggior parte del latte attraverso la ZMP dei produttori di latte della Svizzera centrale (latte industriale). Dal 2020 vendiamo anche parte del nostro latte attraverso la cooperativa del latte Faireswiss, un progetto in cui i consumatori accettano di pagare 0,30 franchi in più per litro di latte. Questo reddito aggiuntivo beneficia noi produttori e copre i costi di produzione.

The farm of the Rüttimann family is located on the northern edge of the Alps in the relatively mild climate of the midland lakes. The municipality of Hohenrain is located in the canton of Lucerne at 609 metres above sea level with 1,000 mm of precipitation per year. It is therefore a predestined forage-growing area for cattle farming. Our Grüt farm is now in its third generation of family ownership.In 2010, Patrick and André Rüttimann took over the farm from their parents Josef and Lydia. They live from milk production (industrial milk) and cattle breeding (Ruegruet Holsteins).

The farm covers around 25 ha of agricultural land and is home to around 120 animals. In 2014, the existing loose housing was extended by a new building, which offers space for 60 animals. In the existing barn we keep rearing cattle as well as male calves, which are themselves fattened with whole milk up to a live weight of 240 kg.

We sell most of the milk via the Central Switzerland Milk Producers ZMP (industrial milk). Since 2020, we have also been selling part of our milk through the Faireswiss milk cooperative, a project in which consumers agree to pay CHF 0.30 more per litre of milk. This additional income benefits us producers and covers the production costs.
