The year is drawing to a close. The sun only shows its face for a short time. Perfect conditions to finally switch off and enjoy time with your loved ones. But everyday life looks different: What should I give my godchild? Where do I buy the Christmas tree? Why do I always have to decide the Christmas menu? At least you won’t have to worry about the dessert after this article. Mucca shows you how to prepare a three delicious dessert in a short time with just a few ingredients.
The main ingredient of each recipe is a Swiss fruit. It is best to buy the plums, raspberries and cherries fresh from the tree in the respective season and freeze part of them. This preserves the vitamins and you don’t have to do without sweet desserts even in winter.
With its extremely high potassium content, plums are known for their detoxifying and draining properties. In combination with the sprinkles, its natural aroma comes to the fore even more and, thanks to the sweet juice, there is no need for a side dish.
For “plums with sprinkles” as a Christmas dessert, the frozen plums that you bought fresh from a farmer near you in summer are best suited. The frozen fruits have retained their vitamins and are much more tasty than those bought in the supermarket in winter.
The recipe is intended for 4 people and as a dessert of a menu. You need:
- 1 gratin dish (16 x 26cm)
- 400 g pitted fruits (450g with stones)
- 50 g flour
- 70 g sugar
- 80 g ground almonds
- 70 g liquid butter
The halved plums are placed in the gratin dish with the inside facing upwards. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar on top. Mix the flour, sugar and almonds in a bowl. Put the liquid butter (about 30s in a microwave) under it with a fork until the sprinkles are ready. Then spread the sprinkles evenly over the plums and bake for 20 min at 200 °C and convection oven.
Hot berry dream
A dessert to melt away! Only three ingredients are needed for the ice cream sundae, also known as Hot Berry. The cold ice cream and the hot berries complement each other perfectly and round off the Christmas menu as a light dessert.
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 250 g berries (raspberries, blackberries, currants, etc.)
- 1 dl elderflower syrup (½ syrup, ½ water)
- 800 ml vanilla ice cream
The berries (not all, only 150 g) are cooked together with 1 dl elderflower syrup. As soon as they are hot, distribute the fruits evenly over the four cups. Then add 1-2 scoops of glacé. The remaining berries and juice are drizzled around or over the ice. Only now do the uncooked vitamin bombs get on top. Serve dessert as soon as possible, otherwise ice will melt in the cup and not on the tongue.
Kirschen sind dafür bekannt, dass sie dank den zahlreich vorhandenen Ballast- und sekundären Pflanzenstoffen die Verdauung unterstützen (siehe auch Blog). - 1 cake dough à approx. 270 g
- 40 g ground hazelnuts
- 800 g cherries
Bake the cake for 15 min at 180°C and circulating air in the oven for a first time.
- 3 eggs (or 2 large ones)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 dl full cream
Bake a second time in the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes. Leave to cool and garnish (e.g. with lemon balm). Ready 🙂
