It all began with a pilgrim who knocked on our door in the pouring rain. Of course he didn’t have to sleep in the stable, as he suggested, but in a real bed. That was in 2002 and a lot has happened since then: Agrotourism has become an important branch of industry alongside dairy farming. In addition to a 2-room holiday apartment (double bedroom (extra bed possible), living room with kitchen, bathroom) we also rent two double and one family room in a new building since November 2019, all with their own toilet and shower. In addition to longer stays (e.g. for businessmen, craftsmen) it is also possible to book only short stays (rooms for one night incl. breakfast). This is especially popular with pilgrims, as the farm is located directly on the Way of Saint James between Altendorf/Pfäffikon SZ and Einsiedeln.
We already welcomed people from all over the world and all ages on our farm. Meanwhile we have friends in Canada, Peru, Germany and many more. While the children let off steam with the pedal tractors, the go-karts or on the trampoline, older guests always have many questions about agriculture and appreciate being allowed to help with milking and other work.
Wonderful walking, hiking and mountain bike trails as well as many excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity offer our guests many possibilities for an unforgettable holiday.
When we took over the farm in 1992 as lateral entrants – I am a trained carpenter – we could not have imagined making so many great acquaintances. Not only for us, but also for the three children the contact with foreign cultures is a great enrichment.
We are always looking forward to new guests! And if you simply want to take a break or just walk the pilgrim path, stay overnight with us, be it in the holiday flat or in the guest rooms.
We are very looking forward to welcoming you as our guests.
