On the farm Grossfeld we, Rosmarie and Stefan live with our three children Nadine, Lars and Mia. The farm is run according to the guidelines of IP-Suisse. Our main branches are dairy farming, pig breeding and a few chickens. Since I was able to take over the farm from my parents in 1999, a lot has changed: Today there are 24 cows, 70 mother pigs with their piglets and 15 laying hens living on the 14 hectare farm, all of which are able to breathe fresh air every day. Not to forget, of course, our rooster, which we affectionately call Lars. Even a kestrel family has settled here. For the rare birds we have built a nest in the stable wall. Since then we have had at least three young falcons every year, which hatch in May and chirp.
In our farm shop you will not only find our popular king trumpet mushrooms, but also many other farm products: The butcher processes the meat of our pigs into spicy garlic and farmer sausages, Salsiz and Mostbröckli. We sell fresh eggs of our hens. They are joined by other delicacies such as jams and syrups (with only regional fruits) and honey. Not to forget small handicrafts that we make with love and creativity, such as cards, key rings or crowns. You don’t have to remember opening hours, because our self-service farm shop is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Convince yourself of our delicacies! We are looking forward to your visit at the farm Grossfeld in Kaltbrunn.
