At our “byherger” farm, art, people, animals, nature and agriculture come together. Here, encounters may and should take place. Our two main branches are dairy cows and laying hens. We manage our farm according to the Bio Suisse guidelines. The farm is open to individuals, families and children and young people up to the age of 16 accompanied by adults. A very special experience for young and old.
With us, you can experience at first hand where the egg comes from. The happy hens enjoy daily grazing.
Our farm shop is a self-service shop and is open daily from 7 AM to 9 PM. There are eggs, homemade jams, homemade Uri specialities, Sittlisalp cheese and other delicious products. They are perfect as souvenirs or for daily consumption. Apples, ice cream, coffee and cold drinks tempt you to be and enjoy in our big garden in front of the stable or at the chicken lodge.
During the summer months of July and August, you can book a room with us at the Sittlisalp Bed & Breakfast and escape from everyday stress. Sittlisalp is a high terrace in the Schächen valley at 1650 m above sea level, embedded in a wonderful mountain landscape. A great place for a break, to enjoy or as starting point for hikes. There is room for seven people in the cosy family room. In addition, there are three 2-bed rooms for couples and individuals. If you would like to have dinner, we offer our alpine kitchen for you to cook yourself. You will find the ingredients for a fine meal in our pantry.
We provide insights into our everyday life. You are welcome to look over our shoulders while we work or you can try your hand at milking the cows.
